West Brom set to sign young defender from Chelsea

West Bromwich Albion are set to sign teenage defender Kyle Jameson from Chelsea.

The 18-year-old centre-back was signed by the Blues a year ago after being spotted playing for the youth side of non-League Southport. He was previously on Everton’s books.[phone]

Several clubs have been aware of Jameson’s potential availability and he recently trained with Celtic.

He is expected to join West Brom on a one-year deal.
