Injured Gilmour back at Chelsea for treatment

Thomas Tuchel says Chelsea have not yet discussed whether Billy Gilmour will remain with Chelsea after returning for treatment on an ankle injury.

Gilmour has struggled during a season-loan loan at Norwich and now faces three to four weeks on the sidelines.

He is currently being assessed by Chelsea’s medical staff and it is unclear whether he will return to East Anglia.

Blues boss Tuchel said: “We will check his injury. He is our player and he is here to have the best examination and we decide with him, and of course Norwich, about the treatment and what’s going on.

“Then we will take the decision. But we’ve had no talks so far about if he stays or not.”

Tuchel also revealed that “last-minute decisions” will be made on whether N’Golo Kante and Thiago Silva are involved in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham.
