Thomas Tuchel is expected to target Chelsea assistant coach Anthony Barry after taking over at Bayern Munich.
Former Blues boss Tuchel is back in management after replacing Julian Nagelsmann, who was sacked by the German club.
Tuchel, who was sacked by Chelsea in September, having led the club to their Champions League triumph in 2021, enjoyed a good relationship with the highly-rated Barry when he was at Stamford Bridge.
Barry, 36, has also been a key part of the coaching staff under Tuchel’s successor Graham Potter.
But Tuchel is expected to look to be reunited with him at Bayern, who are currently second in the Bundesliga table and will face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Barry coached at Wigan prior to joining Chelsea in the summer of 2020.
He has also coached at international level, recently taking a role with Portugal having previously worked with Belgium and the Republic of Ireland.
