Tomori’s permanent move to Milan is confirmed

Fikayo Tomori has completed his permanent move from Chelsea to AC Milan.

The Italian club have paid £24m for the centre-back, who impressed while with them on loan during the second half of last season.

That loan move was with a view to a permanent deal – and Milan always made it clear they intended to buy him.

Tomori, 23, has signed a four-year contract.

He was given a place in the Chelsea side by former Blues boss Frank Lampard, having also played under him on loan at Derby County.

But he later fell out of favour under Lampard, who was sacked in January and replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

Tomori is a product of Chelsea’s academy and sent a message of thanks to the club on Twitter after the transfer was confirmed.
