Palmer completes loan move to Bristol City

Kasey Palmer has completed his move to Bristol City on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season.

Palmer, 22, was on a season-long loan at Blackburn but has only started 10 Championship matches this season.

That loan deal was therefore terminated early, enabling Palmer to move elsewhere.

He becomes the third Chelsea player on loan at City, joining Tomas Kalas and Jay Dasilva at Ashton Gate.

Palmer has not made a first-team appearance for Chelsea and the switch to City is his fifth loan move.

He previously had two spells on loan at Huddersfield and spent the second half of last season at Derby.

“I’m delighted we have been able to sign Kasey Palmer on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season and it’s great to get this done so early in the window,” City boss Lee Johnson told the club’s website.

“Kasey is a very good player who can play through the middle and out wide. He can create openings as well as score goals and I’m excited about what he can bring to our squad.”
