Striker Kerr to leave Chelsea

Sam Kerr – Chelsea’s all-time top scorer in the Women’s Super League – is to leave the club.

The Australian striker, 32, will depart when her contract expires at the end of the season.

She is set to make her 178th and final appearance for Chelsea in the home match against Manchester United on Saturday.

Kerr was signed in November 2019 and has scored 115 goals for the Blues, winning five WSL titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups and the Community Shield during her time at the club.

“When I reflect on my Chelsea career and doing it for the last time, I just feel happy,” said Kerr.

“Happy that it happened, and I feel so grateful to have played for this club for six years and won as many trophies as we could.”
