Eden Hazard is enjoying his best-ever season, according to statistics.

Fantasy football game Oulala.com, using stats from Opta, suggest the Belgian is in the best form of his career.

Hazard has bagged five goals and two assists in the Premier League this season. That’s a direct involvement in a goal on average every 103 minutes.

The 26-year-old has been even better in the Champions League. His three goals and two assists have come at an average of every 88 minutes.

When comparing his form in the Premier League and Champions League to his previous five seasons at Chelsea, the stats clearly show Hazard is better now than he has ever been.

Previously, Hazard’s best Premier League output in terms of goals and assists on a per-minute basis came in his debut season, in 2012/13, when he averaged a goal or assist every 132 minutes.

He is currently averaging 103 minutes for each of the seven league goals he has been involved in – a significant improvement of 29 minutes.

And in the Champions League, Hazard’s previous best form came in 2014/15, the year he was crowned English football’s best player.

Hazard then averaged a goal or an assist every 131 minutes in Europe.

This year, he has shaved a massive 43 minutes off that, averaging just 88 minutes for each of the five goals he has been involved in.
