Silva: I pay no attention to being linked with Chelsea job
Marco Silva says he is paying no attention to being linked with Chelsea.
The Fulham boss is being considered by Chelsea following the Blues’ recent sacking of head coach Liam Rosenior.
Silva’s contract at Craven Cottage expires this summer and he has so-far not agreed a new deal.
Asked if he feels flattered to be linked with the Chelsea job, he said: “I don’t pay any attention. Decisive games for us and all focus will be on Arsenal and what we have to do against them.”
Silva also insisted that staying at Fulham is not dependent on them getting a place in Europe.
The Whites, who face leaders Arsenal on Saturday, are 10th in the Premier League table, just two points behind sixth-placed Brighton with four matches of the season remaining.
“Nothing is going to affect or not affect,” he said.
“It would be a decision that I and the club are going to take together.
“Many things are there. We are completely on the same page and aligned with what will be necessary for the club for the future. The future of the club is always there.

“It’s a fight. We are in a big fight with many teams for the European places. If we make it, the team will be great.”
Silva confirmed that Ryan Sessegnon is out injured and will miss this weekend’s game along with Alex Iwobi and Kevin.
Kenny Tete is “maybe in contention” for a place on the bench but the derby is “too soon for him to start,” Silva added.
