Maurizio Sarri says he has not spoken to Eden Hazard about the Chelsea star’s future.

An interview was published with Hazard this week in which he said he had made a decision on his future.

The Belgian, whose contract expires next year, has frequently spoken about his dilemma on whether to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge or leave the door open to a potential move to Real Madrid.

Real have been repeatedly linked with Hazard and he has made no secret of his desire to play for the Spanish club.

Hazard’s comments have inevitably led to reports that he plans to leave Chelsea at the end of the season.

However, Blues head coach Maurizio Sarri suggested at a media conference on Friday afternoon that he had been given no indication of what Hazard has decided.

“I speak every day with Eden. But I speak with Eden about his position on the pitch,” he said.

“I will be really very happy with him if he wants to stay because in my opinion he is the best in Europe.

“But it’s up to him. I want to see him happy. So he has to decide.”
