Rosenior hails Chelsea’s hat-trick hero Palmer

Liam Rosenior hailed the “unstoppable” Cole Palmer after the fit-again Chelsea star scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 win at Wolves.

It was Chelsea’s seventh win in nine matches since Rosenior was installed as head coach.

The first two goals came from the penalty spot, following fouls on Joao Pedro, with Palmer finding the bottom right corner with his first spot-kick and then the bottom left with an equally assured second.

Palmer crashed home his third with a powerful first-time finish from Marc Cucurella’s cut-back to ensure a 3-0 half-time lead.

Rosenior declared: “We know what a world-class player he is. When he’s at his best, he’s unstoppable. I’m delighted to be working with him.”

It was an emphatic return to form for Palmer, who has been hampered by injuries this season.

“When he’s fully firing and feeling good, he’s a magnificent footballer,” said Rosenior.

“Hopefully he can really enjoy his football now between now and the end of the season.”
