Observer say PSG have held talks with Conte’s representatives
The Observer say Paris St-Germain have opened talks with Antonio Conte’s representatives in an attempt to persuade him to leave Chelsea and join them this summer.
The French club are expected to part company with Unai Emery at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The Observer say Conte is one of four managers PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is considering as a replacement.
The others are said to be Manchester United’s former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone and Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri.
Apparently aware that the others would be difficult to prise away from their respective clubs, PSG have reportedly targeted Conte first, believing he is unhappy at Chelsea would could be tempted away.
The Observer also say initial talks were “positive” and that PSG would be prepared to offer Conte a larger salary than his current deal at Chelsea.
Conte has also been linked with a return to the role of Italy boss, which he left to take over at Chelsea in 2016.
