Palmer signs new Chelsea contract
Cole Palmer has signed a new contract with Chelsea that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2034.
The 24-year-old was already tied to the club until 2033, having put pen to paper on that deal only two years ago. The new agreement is on improved terms and adds a further year.
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in a £42.5m move in 2023 and has become one of the club’s key attacking players. He has scored four goals and provided two assists in seven appearances so far this season.
The form is a contrast to last season, when a groin problem hampered him. Palmer admitted he played through the issue when he “probably shouldn’t have done” and sought specialist advice on whether he needed surgery.
Chelsea have been extending the contracts of several players in recent months. Joao Pedro agreed a new deal to 2034 in August, while Pedro Neto signed a new six-year contract last month.
