Mourinho dismisses Real Madrid link

Jose Mourinho has dismissed reports linking him with a possible return to Real Madrid.

Mourinho returned to Chelsea in 2013 for a second spell as manager after three years in charge at the Spanish club.

There has been speculation about his future at Stamford Bridge following the Blues’ poor results, and reports that Real president Florentino Perez wants him back as a replacement for Rafael Benitez.

But Mourinho said: “I imagine myself finishing my contract with Chelsea. I have three-and-a-half years of my contract.

“After that I imagine myself coaching – I wouldn’t say every club, because there are some I would say no to – but I imagine myself coaching any club.”

Speaking ahead of Monday’s game against Premier League leaders Leicester, Mourinho also rejected suggestions that he is fortunate to have kept his job in light of Chelsea’s woes this season.

“Any manager keeping his job and being able improving things is not lucky,” he said.
