McEachran shines as U21s beat Canaries
Josh McEachran scored both Chelsea’s goals as they beat Norwich City 2-0 at Aldershot’s Recreation Ground to register their third consecutive win in the Under-21 Premier League.
The midfielder, fit again after injury, broke the deadlock in the second half when he netted from the penalty spot after Billy Clifford had been fouled in the box.
It was a deserved breakthrough for the young Blues, who had dominated the first half.
Clifford had a cracking strike well saved and Chelsea thought they should have had a penalty after an apparent foul on Islam Feruz.
Once in front, Dermot Drummy’s side continued to have the upper hand.
And they doubled their lead when McEachran finished nicely after exchanging passes with Isaiah Brown.
Nathan Ake almost added a third after being set up by Clifford’s excellent pass.
