Frank Lampard reiterated the need for Chelsea to bolster their attacking options following the 1-0 defeat at Newcastle.

Chelsea dominated the game at St James’ Park but failed to find the net and then conceded an injury-time goal.

Blues boss Lampard defended striker Tammy Abraham, saying he is “delighted” with the youngster’s progress, but made it clear that a signing is needed.

Lampard also said he had no news yet on Reece James, who was excellent again but limped off late in the game.
