James suffers hamstring injury during Chelsea’s WSL victory

Lauren James is being assessed after suffering a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s 6-0 thrashing of Charlton in the Women’s Super League.

The Blues were already 4-0 up when James had to go off just before the half-hour mark.

Manager Sonia Bompastor said: ‘I think it’s her hamstring, so we’ll see what happens.

“It is difficult to say. I can only say it’s her hamstring and we’ll assess her to have more detailed information.”
