James fit for Arsenal game – and Lavia could feature

Captain Reece James is available for Chelsea’s London derby at Arsenal on Sunday.

Boss Liam Rosenior said James, who has played at right-back, right wing-back, centre-half and in midfield since Rosenior took over as head coach, is “absolutely fine”.

There was also good news about midfielder Romeo Lavia, who could feature.

“Romeo is getting stronger and stronger. We had a mini-practice match in the week where he looked really good,” Rosenior added.

Winger Estevao and left-back Marc Cucurella are both unavailable, but Levi Colwell and Jamie Gittens are progressing well and will “hopefully be back by the end of the season”, while Dario Essugo is back in training.

“We have players coming back from injury, which is really  helpful, Rosenior said.
