Lampard refuses to blame defenders after Chelsea defeat

Frank Lampard refused to blame his defenders after Chelsea’s defeat against West Ham.

Lampard’s side were beaten 3-2 at the London Stadium, where they looked vulnerable at the back throughout.

But the Blues boss gave no-nonsense response when asked if he had been let down by his defenders, insisting the team as a whole made costly errors.

“No. I’ve not been let down by the defenders,” Lampard said.

“We made mistakes in the build up to the goals – not just the defenders – which cost us the game.”
