Chelsea suffered a rare defeat in the Under-21 Premier League, losing 2-0 to Everton on Monday evening.
Islam Feruz and substitute Dion Conroy had chances for the young Blues, but Everton were on top for most of the game at the Community Stadium in Southport.
Both goals came in the second half, with Callum Connolly heading home Kieran Dowell’s corner before an injury-time header from Mason Holgate sealed the home side’s win.
