Impressive Chelsea youngsters crush Atletico
Juan Castillo scored twice for Chelsea’s Under-19 side as they beat Atletico Madrid 4-2 in the Uefa Youth League ahead of the first team’s Champions League match against the Spanish club.
Luke McCormick (pictured) and the outstanding Harvey St Clair also scored in the game at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, where the home team were three up by half-time.
St Clair netted from the penalty spot after being fouled in the area and Castillo doubled the lead with a deflected effort before McCormick fired home after being set up by Daishawn Redan.
Castillo scored again in the second half, this time after a cross by Cole Dasilva.
Atletico got two late goals but it was nevertheless a resounding win for Chelsea, who qualify for the knockout phase of the tournament as group winners.
