Gilmour’s late goal gives Chelsea youngsters victory over Brighton
Billy Gilmour’s brilliant late goal gave Chelsea’s Under-18s a 1-0 win at home to Brighton on Friday evening.
Gilmour, signed from Glasgow Rangers during the summer, broke the deadlock with a free-kick with 10 minutes remaining at the Blues’ Cobham training ground.
Earlier, Marc Guehi hit the bar and Charlie Brown had a penalty saved as Chelsea dominated.
Chelsea’s Under-23 side will be in action on Saturday afternoon, away to Tottenham.
