Gilmour plays in Chelsea Under-23 game

Billy Gilmour featured for Chelsea’s development side as they drew 1-1 at Leicester on Monday evening.

Gilmour played the full 90 minutes of the Premier League 2 match at the East Midlands club’s training ground.

George McEachran put the young Blues ahead with a close-range finish from a cross by Tino Anjorin, who earlier hit the post.

Tyrese Shade scored a second-half equaliser for the hosts, who were reduced to 10 men when Ali Reghba was sent off with 16 minutes remaining.

Reghba was shown the red card for recklessly booting Dujon Sterling in the head while attempting an overhead kick.
