Four Chelsea players in England Under-21 squad for Toulon Tournament

Four Chelsea youngsters have been named in the England Under-21 squad for the Toulon Tournament.

Striker Tammy Abraham as well as defenders Jake Clarke-Salter, Fikayo Tomori and Jay Dasilva have been called up by boss Aidy Boothroyd.

The defending champions open their campaign against China on May 26 and will also play Group A games against Mexico and Qatar.

“We have put ourselves in a really good position but this tournament is about learning one or two things about players who we might not necessarily know too much about,” Boothroyd said.

“Whenever you coach and manage an England team there is an expectation and the summer we had last year was unprecedented and amazing but every year is different.”
