Chelsea youngsters lose to Arsenal at the Bridge

Chelsea’s development side lost 3-1 to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in their final home Premier League 2 game of the season.

All the visitors’ goals came in the first half, with Eddie Nketiah – who was previously on Chelsea’s books – scoring twice before Carl Jenkinson netted just before the interval.

The young Blues were unlucky not to pull a goal back before Daishawn Redan eventually did with seven minutes remaining – Tariq Uwakwe was denied by a fine save by keeper Arthur Okonkwo and Conor Gallagher fired against the Arsenal post.

Chelsea eventually found the net when Uwakwe’s shot was parried by Okonkwo to Redan, who tucked away his 12th goal of the season.
