Abraham hopeful of chance under Conte

Tammy Abraham has told Sky Sports he believes he could get a chance at Chelsea under Antonio Conte.

The 19-year-old striker has been in brilliant form since joining Bristol City on a season-long loan from the Blues, raising hopes that he might make the grade at Stamford Bridge.

He has scored 11 goals for the Robins this season and recently netted twice on his full debut for England Under-21s.

And Abraham has taken heart from Chelsea boss Conte’s willingness to include the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nathaniel Chalobah and Ola Aina.

“I think with the new manager coming in the chances are there because we can see he’s been playing youngsters,” Abraham said.

“It’s a case of when you get the opportunity you have to impress and give your all. Everyone has their time and hopefully my time will come soon.”

Abraham also revealed that he has been in contact with Chelsea captain John Terry during his time at City.

“I think he keeps up with the games and how well I’m doing then he gets back to me to say congratulations,” Abraham explained.

“Just little things like that which obviously is a good thing for me and it gives me confidence knowing people [at Chelsea] are aware of me.”
