Costa ruled out but Courtois fit to return

Diego Costa has been ruled out of Chelsea’s game against Leicester but Thibaut Courtois has been passed fit.

Keeper Courtois missed the midweek draw at Liverpool because of illness but has since returned to training and is available for Sunday’s match against the recently-crowned champions.

But Guus Hiddink said on Friday afternoon that Costa, who also missed the Liverpool game, is still struggling with a hamstring problem.

Skipper John Terry is suspended but could yet prolong his stay at Chelsea after being offered one-year contract by the club.

Hiddink is coming to the end of his time in charge

This weekend’s end-of-season encounter will be Hiddink’s last game as Chelsea interim boss.

He recently revealed that he plans to be involved in helping to develop young players and that he could retain link to Chelsea as part of the role.

And he reiterated: “I know that every now and then I come back and see what I can do to help out with young players.

“It’s not an official role but I will be back, so it (leaving) is not as dramatic as it seems.”
