Charlie Wakefield’s goal gave Chelsea a 1-0 win at home to Aston Villa and maintained their winning start to the Under-18 Premier League season.
The young Blues, who won 4-1 at Norwich in their opening match, broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the second half when Wakefield cut in from the left and fired home.
Villa keeper Charlie Bannister had earlier produced saves to deny Wakefield, Mukhtar Ali and Dujon Sterling.
Meanwhile, QPR’s Under-18s lost 1-0 at home to Hull City.
