Sarri unlikely to sign Jorginho, Mail say
Stories in Friday’s newspapers involving Chelsea….
Maurizio Sarri is unlikely to sign Jorginho for Juventus, the Daily Mail say.
The Brazil-born Italy midfielder played under Sarri at Napoli prior to joining him at Chelsea last year.
Jorginho was his flagship signing and pivotal to Sarri’s style of play, so there has inevitably been speculation that he will move to Turin.
But the Mail reckon Sarri sees Juve’s Miralem Pjanic as a similar type of player and plans to deploy him in the midfield anchor role.
The Daily Mirror declared this week that Jorginho is keen to reunite with the outgoing Blues boss.
The Mirror claimed comments by Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos suggested the player is open to a move.

Santos said: “Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest.
“His past at Napoli won’t be an issue, because Jorginho is a professional.
“Right now, Jorginho is happy at Chelsea. He found a great atmosphere and we can’t really say that he’d like to go elsewhere, but anything can happen on the transfer market. We’ll wait and see.”
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard continues to be tipped to replace Sarri, with a number of newspapers suggesting the Chelsea legend is set to leave Derby and take over as manager at Stamford Bridge.
And Everton have opened talks with Chelsea about signing Kurt Zouma on a permanent deal, the Daily Telegraph reports.
Defender Zouma spent last season on loan at the Merseyside club, who are keen to buy him.
There has been speculation that Chelsea could refuse to sell because of the prospect of a transfer ban hanging over them.
