Transfer gossip: Lampard ready to offload Chelsea duo, Mail on Sunday say

Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea….

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has decided he wants to offload Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater, the Mail on Sunday declare.

The newspaper say Everton could target Bakayoko as a replacement for Idrissa Gueye, who has been tipped to join Paris St-Germain.

Drinkwater did not feature under Lampard’s predecessor Maurizio Sarri but refused to move on.

Lampard is said to have been keen to assess his squad in light of Chelsea being under a transfer ban.

Swansea ‘targeting £3.5m Palmer deal’

The Mail on Sunday also say new Swansea boss Steve Cooper is hoping to persuade Kasey Palmer to join the Welsh club from Chelsea.

Swansea are reported to be looking to buy Palmer in a £3.5m deal. Bristol City are interested in the player.

Former England youth international Palmer is well known to Cooper, who was previously in charge of England’s Under-17 side.

Zaha still being linked with Chelsea

Chelsea continue to be linked with Wilfried Zaha.

The Daily Telegraph say Everton are prepared to give Crystal Palace £60m plus striker Cenk Tosun for Zaha but that the Merseyside club fear they might miss out to Chelsea.

Chelsea are currently under a two-window transfer ban and cannot sign players this summer.

They have appealed against the Fifa-imposed ban to the Court of Arbitration to Sport in an attempt to have the ban lifted in January.

The Telegraph say Chelsea are considering a move for the Ivory Coast international and that Palace and Zaha could be prepared to wait until the end of the season if the Blues are intent on buying him.

The newspaper suggest this would also suit Palace because it might help the Eagles land Michy Batshuayi, who was on loan with them from Chelsea last season.

Terriers linked with Chalobah

Huddersfield are interested in signing Trevoh Chalobah on a permanent deal, Goal.com reports.

Chalobah impressed on loan at Ipswich last season and the Terriers are said to be keen to snap him up.

Sun link Chelsea with Pompey youngster

Chelsea are interested in Portsmouth youngster Leon Maloney, it is claimed.

The Sun say the Blues and West Ham are tracking the 18-year-old ahead of a possible move.
Maloney, a winger, scored 26 goals for Portsmouth at youth level last season, prompting speculation about interest from other clubs.
