Transfer gossip: Speculation over Seri as midfielder reportedly heads to London

Chelsea continue to be linked with Jean Michael Seri amid reports reports the Nice midfielder has travelled to London ahead of a potential transfer.

Seri is keen to move to England and has long been touted for moves to Chelsea and Arsenal.

West London Sport recently revealed that Fulham are interested in the 26-year-old Ivory Coast international.

But he continues to be linked primarily with the Blues and Arsenal – and the Daily Star declare that fans of both those clubs are “on red alert” with Seri apparently in the capital.

The Star also suggest Seri could be a replacement for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, who has been linked with Paris St-Germain and Real Madrid.


Hazard still being linked with Real

Reports in Spain continue to link Chelsea’s Eden Hazard with Real Madrid.

Spanish publication Diario Gol claim Real president Florentino Perez has already decided that Hazard will have the number 7 shirt currently worn by Cristiano Ronaldo if they sign the Belgian and Ronaldo completes a move to Juventus.


United confident of Willian deal – Sun

Manchester United are confident of signing Willian from Chelsea now Brazil are out of the World Cup, The Sun say.

Barcelona have also been linked with the Brazilian forward, who would not discuss his future while involved in the tournament in Russia.

United’s former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen for the Willian to rejoin him.

Sky recently reported that Chelsea had rejected a £50m bid from Barca for the player.

And The Sun say United are looking to seal a £60m deal to sign him.

The Sun recently claimed Barcelona were ready to offer Willian’s Brazil team-mate Paulinho, who has since moved to China, to Chelsea as part of an exchange deal.

The Daily Telegraph suggested Chelsea are looking to sell Danny Drinkwater for £30m and would also be willing to sell Willian in order to fund new signings.

The Telegraph believe Chelsea would rather sell to Barca than United unless the Old Trafford club are open to a swap deal involving Anthony Martial.


Keeper speculation


Chelsea continue to be linked with goalkeepers Alisson and Jack Butland amid speculation over Thibaut Courtois’ future, while Kasper Schmeichel has also been linked with the Blues.

It is now claimed that Roma’s Alisson has agreed personal terms with Chelsea.

The Daily Star have picked up on a story by Italian newspaper Il Tempo claiming that the Brazil international, who is currently at the World Cup, wants to move to Stamford Bridge.

It follows previous reports that Alisson has agreed a move to Real Madrid. Liverpool have also been linked with him.

The Sun have reported that Stoke will offer Butland a £20,000-a-week pay rise in order to fend off interest from Chelsea.

And Sky believe the Blues are interested in signing Leicester’s Schmeichel, who impressed for Denmark during the World Cup.

It all comes as Chelsea keeper Courtois continues to be linked with a move to Real.


Luiz dismisses Porto link

Chelsea’s David Luiz has laughed off reports linking him with Porto, The Sun has also reported.

It comes after Luiz posed on Instagram describing speculation he could join his former club Benfica’s rivals as “a newspaper lie.”


Express claim Blues made Ndombele approach

The Express claim Lyon have told Chelsea that midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is not for sale.

The 21-year-old was linked with the Blues amid reports that Paris St-Germain want Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante.

The Express suggest Chelsea held talks with Lyon and were informed that Ndombele was not available this summer.


Kovacic linked

Talksport have picked up on reports in Italy claiming that Chelsea have made an enquiry about Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

Tottenham are also said to be keen on the Croatia international, who has been tipped to move this summer.

Kovacic, 24, has struggled to hold down a place in the Real side and is reportedly looking to play first-team football.


Sarri tipped to target Vecino

Italian media reports say Maurizio Sarri, widely tipped to take over as Chelsea manager, wants Inter Milan’s Uruguay midfielder Matias Vecino.

Sarri previously worked with the player at Empoli and it is claimed that he plans to sign him for the Blues.


Higuain deal agreed, reports claim

Italian media reports have also tipped Chelsea to sign Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Metro have picked up on a story claiming that a deal has been agreed for the Argentina international to join the Blues for £53m.

Higuain’s brother and agent has since denied talks with Chelsea have taken place.
