Transfer gossip: Sun say Bayern have offered Hudson-Odoi £85k a week
The transfer stories involving Chelsea in Saturday’s newspapers…
The Sun say Gonzalo Higuain is heading to Chelsea to complete his move in time for Thursday’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Tottenham.
The newspaper also declare that Callum Hudson-Odoi looks to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge as Bayern Munich continue to pursue the Blues youngster.
Chelsea want Hudson-Odoi to sign a new deal and both the Daily Express and the Daily Mail have reported this week that the club are willing to offer him £70,000 a week.
The Sun claim Bayern have bettered that by offering Hudson-Odoi, who is under contract until 2020, a deal worth £85,000 per week – and that Higuain will be paid double that by Chelsea.
Striker Higuain, who played under Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, is currently on a season-long loan at AC Milan from Juventus.
Everton ‘preparing £40m Batshuayi bid’
Everton are preparing a £40m bid for Michy Batshuayi, also according to The Sun.
With Valencia having decided to end his season-long loan, Chelsea are keen to sell Batshuayi this month.
Monaco want to take him on loan but The Sun say Everton are ready to buy the Belgian forward.
