Chelsea hierarchy unhappy with Sarri over Hazard omission, Times say

Stories in Saturday’s newspapers involving Chelsea…

Maurizio Sarri’s decision to leave Eden Hazard out of the starting line-up against Eintracht Frankfurt did not go down well with the Chelsea hierarchy, according to The Times.

Chelsea star Hazard, whose future at the club is in doubt, came on as a substitute in the Europa League semi-final first leg, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Times say “Chelsea executives were baffled and unimpressed” by Blues head coach Sarri choosing to leave the Belgian out.

The newspaper adds that the club are resigned to Hazard leaving for Real Madrid this summer expected him to start in every game until he is sold.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are set to table another offer for Willian, according to The Sun.

Chelsea have previously rejected offers from Barca for the Brazilian, who has made it clear he wants to stay.

The Sun say the La Liga giants are preparing to offer £30m for Willian at the end of the season in an attempt to get a deal done.

Chelsea will open talks with Ruben Loftus-Cheek over a new contract, again according to The Sun.

The England midfielder has another two years left on his current deal but the club are said to be keen to offer him new terms.

And the Daily Express yet again link Chelsea with a possible move for Real Madrid’s Colombia international James Rodriguez, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich.
