Transfer gossip: Chelsea still being linked with Zaha

Some of the transfer speculation involving Chelsea in Wednesday’s newspapers…

Crystal Palace have turned down an offer from Chelsea for Wilfried Zaha, it is claimed.

The Sun say Chelsea offered Palace £30m plus Danny Drinkwater in an attempt to land Zaha, who has also been linked with Tottenham.

It comes amid doubts over Drinkwater’s future at Stamford Bridge and reports that Palace are among clubs interested in the midfielder.

Palace are said to have turned the offer down and are apparently determined to keep Zaha at Selhurst Park.

Meanwhile, The Times say there have been fears at Chelsea about Willian’s future at the club after he returned late for pre-season training, despite the delay apparently being because of passport issues.

Manchester United and Barcelona are interested in the Brazilian, who has been linked with Real Madrid this week.

Aston Villa want to sign Tammy Abraham on loan but the Chelsea youngster, who spent last season on loan at Swansea, is keen to stay in the Premier League, the Daily Mail say.

The Daily Mirror say Paris St-Germain are pursuing N’Golo Kante despite reports Chelsea have offered the Frenchman an improved contract.

The Mirror also say Valencia want Michy Batshuayi, while The Sun reports that the striker has been told he is new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri’s plans.

And the Daily Star link Chelsea with two more goalkeepers; Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and Paris St-Germain’s Kevin Trapp.

They are among a host of keepers to be linked with the Blues this summer amid speculation over the future of Thibaut Courtois.
