Transfer gossip: Chelsea linked with White

Transfer speculation involving Chelsea in Sunday’s newspapers.

Chelsea will challenge Liverpool for the signing of centre-back Ben White, the Sunday Express claim.

White impressed while on loan from Brighton at Leeds last season, playing a key role in the Yorkshire club’s promotion to the Premier League.

There has therefore been speculation over his future, with Liverpool said to be interested in signing him.

The Sunday Express claim White is also wanted by Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea linked with Estupinan

The Sunday Express also claim Chelsea are interested in Watford’s Pervis Estupinan.

Despite having not played a first-team match for the Hornets, Estupinan, 22, has been touted as one of Europe’s most promising full-backs.

The Sunday Express claim he is also being tracked by Tottenham and Barcelona.

Blues ‘want Stones in £20m deal’

Chelsea want to sign John Stones from Manchester City in a £20m deal, the Sunday Mirror say.

Stones has been out of favour at City and appears to have fallen further down the pecking order following their signing of former Chelsea defender Nathan Ake.

The Sunday Mirror say Blues boss Frank Lampard wants to sign Stones if City are willing to take a loss and sell for £20m.

The newspaper also declares that centre-backs Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Timori “all face uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge”, with Lampard tipped to make changes this summer.

Havertz speculation continues

Kai Havertz is said to have agreed a five-year contract to join Chelsea.

The Daily Star Sunday have picked up on French radio station RMC suggesting that a deal is in place for Havertz to move to the Bridge.

Reports in Germany have suggested that Havertz is keen to leave Bayer Leverkusen and make the move to west London.
