Speculation over Sarri’s position continues
Some of the recent newspaper stories involving Chelsea…
Maurizio Sarri’s future remains in serious doubt, with the Chelsea hierarchy still unconvinced he is the right man for the job, the Daily Mail reports.
The pressure has been eased on the head coach by Premier League wins against Tottenham and Fulham.
The Mail say those results saved him from the sack but that his position remains under scrutiny and the club have identified possible replacements for the Italian.
The Mail say Chelsea would prefer to make a final decision on Sarri’s future at the end of the season.

Chelsea’s former assistant first-team coach Steve Holland, now England boss Gareth Southgate’s assistant, is said to be an option to take interim charge at Stamford Bridge if Sarri is axed before then.
Sarri suggested at a press conference last week that reports he was close to the sack were “maybe not true.”
The Sun continue to link Zinedine Zidane with Chelsea – but say the club will have to move fast if they want to appoint him.
The Sun say Chelsea could miss out on Zidane if they wait, because his former club Juventus want him.
It follows reports in Italy that Massimiliano Allegri is set to leave Juve in the summer after completing what would be a fifth straight title triumph.
