Transfer gossip: United said to preparing ‘huge’ Rudiger offer

Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Manchester United are preparing to make Antonio Rudiger a ‘huge’ offer this summer, Football Insider claim.

Rudiger’s Chelsea contract expires this year and he can now speak to non-English clubs.

Real Madrid were previously reported to be on the verge of agreeing a pre-contract with the Germany defender, who has been linked with a number of other clubs, including Tottenham and Bayern Munich.

Reports have since declared that Real have cooled their interest in Rudiger.

And Football Insider claim United are determined to take him to Old Trafford.

Saul move in doubt – Express

Chelsea are not prepared to pay the transfer fee necessary to make on-loan midfielder Saul Niguez’s move a permanent one, the Daily Express say.

Saul has steadily improved since struggling after his arrival from Atletico Madrid.

But the Express say Chelsea are unwilling to pay the £30m it would reportedly cost to keep him beyond the end of the season.

Barca linked with Blues duo

Barcelona continue to be linked with Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen.

Like Rudiger, both defenders are in the final months of their Chelsea contracts and they are yet to sign new deals.
