Antonio Conte says his team must be wary of the threat posed by former Chelsea man Mohamed Salah in Saturday’s game against Liverpool.

Salah was unable to establish himself as a first-team player at Stamford Bridge but has been outstanding since moving to Anfield from Roma during the summer.

Blues boss Conte expects a tough test against Jurgen Klopp’s side, with Philippe Coutinho another potential threat and another ex-Chelsea man Daniel Sturridge also an option for the Reds.

Salah is well known to former Italy manager Conte, having previously starred in Serie A for Fiorentina as well as Roma.

“I know him very well because he played in Italy for many years,” Conte said.

“Salah is a good player and very dangerous. He’s a technical player but at the same time is very fast and very strong and a very good finisher.

“We must pay great attention, not only with Salah but also players like Sturridge and Coutinho. Liverpool has a great team.”

Salah, 25 has scored 14 goals for Liverpool this season.

He started just six Premier League matches for Chelsea, who loaned him to Roma in 2015 and then sold him to them the following year.

Asked what he thought about Chelsea’s decision to let the Egyptian go, Conte said: “I don’t know. It happened in the past and in the past he was very young and now he has developed a lot as a player.”

Meanwhile, Conte has confirmed that Victor Moses is back in the Chelsea squad for this weekend’s game.
