Mirror link Dortmund and Monaco with Hudson-Odoi

The stories in Monday’s newspapers involving the area’s clubs…

Borussia Dortmund and Monaco have been linked with Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The teenage striker has not featured for the Blues this season and the Daily Mirror claim he is among three English players Dortmund have lined up as possible signings after the success of Jadon Sancho at the German club.

Sancho moved after not getting a chance at Manchester City and the Mirror claim Dortmund believe Hudson-Odoi, City’s Phil Foden and Liverpool’s Bobby Duncan might make a similar impact for them.

The Mirror claim there is also interest in Hudson-Odoi from Monaco, where former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo now works and Thierry Henry has arrived as manager.

The Daily Mail say Jose Mourinho is set to launch an internal investigation after his Manchester United line-up to face Chelsea on Saturday was leaked on social media.

Former Blues boss Mourinho apparently wants to get to the bottom of how the information – which included the recall of Juan Mata – got out.

A number of newspapers suggest FA charges could be dished out after Mourinho’s furious reaction to Chelsea coach Marco Ianni’s provocative celebration of Ross Barkley’s injury-time equaliser against United.

The Guardian, however, reports that both clubs are likely to be let off with a warning.

Meanwhile, there is more speculation over the future of Slavisa Jokanovic in the wake of another defeat for Fulham.

The Mirror, which recently reported that head coach Jokanovic was under pressure, now declare that he has Fulham’s next two Premier League matches to save his job.

The newspaper previously reported that the club’s hierarchy were concerned by the Whites’ dismal defending since Jokanovic led them back to the top flight.

And after another defensive horror show, this time while losing 4-2 to fellow strugglers Cardiff on Saturday, the Mirror say the home game against Bournemouth and trip to Huddersfield are all-important for Jokanovic.
