Speculation over Hudson-Odoi’s future continues
Stories in Saturday’s newspapers involving Chelsea…
There continues to be speculation over the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is now being linked with Liverpool.
Bayern Munich want to sign the Chelsea youngster, who made his England debut in Friday’s 5-0 win against the Czech Republic.
Reports this week have also linked Borussia Dortmund with Hudson-Odoi – and a number of UK newspapers have now picked up on German publication Bild claiming that Liverpool are also interested.
Hudson-Odoi’s Chelsea contract expires next year and he has previously indicated that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge and will not sign a new deal.
The Daily Mail say Liverpool are monitoring developments but that Chelsea would not want to sell to a Premier League rival.
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard’s future as Derby County manager is reportedly in doubt.
The Times suggest Lampard’s position at Pride Park is uncertain amid cost-cutting by Derby owner Mel Morris, who has cancelled a warm-weather training camp in Dubai.
It comes after The Sun claimed that Chelsea legend Lampard is being considered for the manager’s job at the Bridge.
