Speculation over Hudson-Odoi’s future continues
The stories in Tuesday’s newspapers involving the area’s clubs…
There continues to be speculation over the future of Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi and how much Bayern Munich might offer for him this summer.
Chelsea rejected offers from Bayern for Hudson-Odoi – and a transfer request from the teenager – during the recent transfer window.
His contract at Stamford Bridge expires next year and the German club are expected to make another attempt to sign him when the window reopens.
The Daily Mail say Bayern will return with a bid of £35m for Hudson-Odoi, while the Daily Mirror reports that Chelsea remain determined to keep him.
At the weekend, The Sun on Sunday declared that Bayern are planning a £45m bid this summer for Hudson-Odoi – 24 hours after The Sun reported the club will offer £25m.
Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Andre Schurrle’s two-year loan at Fulham from Borussia Dortmund will be terminated if the Whites are relegated from the Premier League.
It comes after the former Chelsea man told German magazine Kicker: “Looking at my abilities and previous career, it is not my ambition to be fighting against relegation in England.
“My loan spell would come to an end if Fulham go down, and my Dortmund contract would become active once more.”
