Hudson-Odoi set to sign new deal, Mirror say
Stories in Wednesday’s newspapers involving Chelsea…
Chelsea believe they are on course to tie Callum Hudson-Odoi to a new contract, according to the Daily Mirror.
The teenager was pursued by Bayern Munich prior to suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon and the German club have been tipped to make another approach for him.
Hudson-Odoi wanted the move but was enjoying a run of games in the Premier League before getting injured.
The Mirror say Hudson-Odoi, who has a year remaining on his current contract, looks likely to sign a new deal in the coming weeks.
The Mirror also say Marcos Alonso is on course to leave Chelsea and jo in Atletico Madrid.
The left-back is said to be keen to leave and now waiting for the two clubs to agree a deal.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail claim Derby County have looked at Charlton boss Lee Bowyer as a potential replacement for Frank Lampard.
It comes amid reports that Chelsea’s all-time record goalscorer Lampard could return to Stamford Bridge as manager if Maurizio Sarri leaves the Blues for Juventus.
