Chelsea missed chances but ‘gave everything’ – Bruno

Bruno Saltor admitted Chelsea continue to lack confidence in front of goal after another failure to score.

The Blues missed chances in a 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, where their shortcomings in attack were evident again.

Bruno, in caretaker charge following the recent sacking of Graham Potter, said: “We created enough chances to win the game.

“They’re human beings and the confidence has to be there. We just need to keep helping the boys. They’ve been going through a lot. It’s been a tough season for them.

“The boys gave everything. They played with their heart and you can’t ask for more.

“I know they missed chances, but the attitude was there.”

One definite positive for Chelsea was the return of N’Golo Kante, who started a game for the first time since August.

“It was a massive impact for the boys and the fans as well. He makes players around him even better,” said Bruno.
