Five Chelsea youngsters sign pro deals

Chelsea have awarded professional contracts to five youngsters who impressed with the Under-17s last year.

Among them are defenders Jay Dasilva and Fikayo Tomori, who were also part of the sides that won the Uefa Youth League and FA Youth Cup last season.

Polish midfielder Hubert Adamczyk, Swiss winger Miro Muheim and England youth international Charlie Wakefield have also signed their first pro deals.

A further 14 youngsters have signed on as scholars to play in the Under-18s.

They are goalkeepers Nathan Baxter and Jared Thompson, defenders Trevoh Chalobah, Cole Dasilva, Josh Grant, Richard Nartey and Joseph Colley, wingers Dan Kemp and Harvey St. Clair, midfielders Malakai Hinckson-Mars, Mason Mount and Jacob Maddox, striker Ike Ugbo and the versatile Luke McCormick.
