First-leg win for Chelsea in Youth Cup final

Dutch teenager Daishawn Redan scored twice after coming on as a substitute as holders Chelsea came from behind to beat Arsenal 3-1 in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup final.

Redan equalised and then scored a late third at Stamford Bridge after Marc Guehi had put the home side ahead.

Chelsea were lively in the first half, with Charlie Brown and Callum Hudson-Odoi going close to putting them in front.

But Arsenal led at the break after Xavier Amaechi fired home after being set up by Emile Smith-Rowe.

The game turned Chelsea’s way in the second half, though, with Redan levelling after being put through by George McEachran and Guehi heading home a cross from Reece James.

And when Juan Castillo’s cross led to a defensive mix-up, Redan was on hand to score again.
