Zouma and Van Ginkel play in EFL Trophy game

As expected, Kurt Zouma starts for Chelsea’s development side in the EFL Trophy match against Oxford United at Stamford Bridge.

So too does Marco van Ginkel, who returned to action after a knee problem to play alongside Zouma in a recent Under-23 game against Everton.

Tonight’s match will be Zouma’s third outing for the Under-23s as part of his comeback from the cruciate injury he suffered in February.

The French defender is expected to be in contention for a first-team return soon after the international break.
