Duff returns to west London in Brentford coaching role

Former Chelsea and Fulham winger Damien Duff has joined Brentford as first-team assistant coach.

The 47-year-old Dubliner, twice a Premier League winner with Chelsea, led Shelbourne to the Irish title before leaving the club a year ago.

He is returning to west London to work with Bees boss – and his former Republic of Ireland team-mate – Keith Andrews.

“I’ve known Damien for a long time,” said Andrews.

“I’ve seen him up close throughout his coaching journey. We’ve been on courses together and worked together as coaches with the Republic of Ireland national team.

“Damien will bring experience, presence and a real level of detail to our coaching department. He will add to the great group we already have and I’m very pleased that he is joining us.”
