Roberto Di Matteo again shrugged off speculation about his future following Chelsea’s FA Cup triumph against Liverpool.

The Italian made history at Wembley, becoming the first man to win the trophy with a club as both a player and manager.

And there are bound to be more calls for owner Roman Abramovich to install Di Matteo as Blues boss on a permanent basis now he has brought silverware to Stamford Bridge.

But Di Matteo said: “At the moment I just want to enjoy this. Whatever comes next, we’ll deal with it. The boss will make the decision – I’m very relaxed about it.”

Goals from Ramires and Didier Drogba meant Chelsea got their hands on the famous trophy for the fourth time in six years.

Drogba became the first player to score in four FA Cup finals, while Di Matteo was proud to have also entered the history books.

“I was fortunate enough to play for the club and win the trophy, and now I’ve done it as a coach as well,” said Di Matteo.

“Not many people have that opportunity. It’s special because it doesn’t happen very often.”
