Di Matteo believes Chelsea can still secure top-four finish

Roberto Di Matteo remained optimistic about Chelsea’s chances of securing a top-four finish following their 0-0 draw at Arsenal.

With next week’s Champions League clash with Barcelona in mind, interim Blues boss Di Matteo made a number of changes to his team at the Emirates Stadium.

It underlined the difficult task facing Chelsea as they chase European glory and fourth spot in the Premier League, but the Italian believes they can achieve their aim.

“There are four games left and three are home games. We’ve got a tough schedule, but we can do it,” he declared.

“It was our third game in less than six days and it’s impossible to use the same 11 players, but we have a great squad and they showed their quality.

“The demand is incredible. It’s crazy that we have to play this amount of games in such a short period of time.”
