Costa completes move back to Atletico

Diego Costa has completed his move back to Atletico Madrid from Chelsea.

The two clubs agreed a deal last week and the Spain international has formally completed his return to the La Liga outfit.

He will not be able to play for them until 1 January, when the club’s transfer ban comes to an end.

Atletico sold Costa, 28, to Chelsea in 2014 and he scored 59 goals in 120 games appearances for the Blues.

He played a key role in last season’s title triumph but was subsequently told by boss Antonio Conte that he had no future at Stamford Bridge.
