Conte’s warning for Hazard over penalties

Antonio Conte has warned that Eden Hazard could come unstuck if he attempts a repeat of his cheeky penalty against Newcastle.

Hazard scored twice in Saturday’s 3-1 win over the Magpies at Stamford Bridge, where his second goal was a spot-kick following Matt Ritchie’s foul on Victor Moses.

He netted with a so-called Panenka penalty, nonchalantly lifting the ball into the middle of the goal as goalkeeper Karl Darlow dived.

But Blues boss Conte believes keepers might now stand their ground if Hazard takes another penalty to see if they can embarrass him.

“Next time he must have a great attention as the goalkeeper will study the players that take the penalties,” Conte said.

“For me the most important thing to do is to score and it happened.”
